On the one hand I see such improvement in the show and then on the other it's all in such a bad way.
I think it's because Yorke has basically one foot in, one foot out. Either way, I don't think the show will benefit from having someone who's full time job isn't sorting the show out, even if it is John Yorke it's not good for the show if he can't devote his time to it. |

He's been a story consultant on Casualty since 2007 (I think?). He's now credited as an executive consultant and three episodes as a co-executive producer.
He's now a story consultant on EastEnders and has written a handful of episodes since Yorke took over. |

Yeah I'm sensing a Lorraine Newman type situation where it's basically improving the state of the show but not really adding anything new or amazing to it/basically getting it to a "template" sort of point with not much going on and allowing whoever takes over to have the template, and do with it whatever they will.
