I think Georgia was always on the table, leading back to one of the most suppressed modern elections, 2 years ago for the governorship, when republicans purged hundreds of thousands of black folks off the electoral rolls and shut down most of the voting machines in black neigbourhoods. There has been a consistent effort since then to make sure that doesn't happen, lead by Stacy Abrams who was the loser of the governor election.
