As a matter of interest Ammi did you think it was the right platform to air their woes? there is no doubting they were upset but personally I didn't think that was the time or place tbh

...yeah, I guess that my own thoughts would be quite reflective of the support they appeared to have got in the timeline of negative media against Meghan and that surge of popularity at that time...Royal awareness raising is a multi layered thing and they spoke of a very personal thing to them as well which was reflective of their own mental struggles at the time...it didn’t have to be and never should be an ‘either /or’ of any other spect of their visit...mental health is always a very important thing to to talk about openly for many people who will relate and when it’s a Royal/celebrity etc, it touches and inspires others to speak about their own experiences and to help recognise themselves when they’re struggling...

I totally agree.

I saw no wrong in how it was handled either.
Sometimes there's criticism of the Royals being more robotic and not like everyone else.

To open up so personally as was done there, it endeared them more to me rather than see them more negatively.

I didn't think there was anything wrong to be honest either. As I said earlier in the thread, there would be women sat at home watching it, struggling with their own mental health and thinking they were wrong to feel that way as there are people.in the world worse off so they should just shut up and deal with it. But seeing Meghan saying she is struggling even with her fame and fortune, with the backdrop of what she had also seen might have allowed women here to think they were ok to be struggling and possibly open up and seek help.

Just my personal opinion of course as the way I saw it when I watched at the time and I haven't changed my mind. Yes there are people in the world living horrific lives, but there are people here too who feel they have nowhere to turn too

They aren't Royals anymore. Unless you have an interest in them or the family (or come on this forum lol) a lot of people probably don't give them a thought anymore.

Too be honest Annie, I don't think many woman sitting at home struggling needed a hugely privileged Duchess to tell them it was all right. They would more likely be thinking 'What the hell has she got to complain about with all the best mental health care available to her at a click of her finger and anything else she wants or needs, if only I had her resources!"

They are Royals until they decide to give up their very Royal titles, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
I think people give them more thought than they do Camilla or Sophie, as they put themselves out there constantly. They have been in the papers or news or discussed on morning tv, etc many times since their break from the UK relating to some drama or other.

I would have thought well if a hugely privileged Duchess is struggling with all the money and fame and help she has, then maybe its ok for me to feel like that. Is what I took from it.
