Platinum Jubilee live: Queen has given decades of 'continuity, stability and unity', hails Lord Mayor

The Queen has given decades of "continuity, stability and unity" during her 70-year reign, the Lord Mayor of London has said.

Lord Mayor Vincent Keaveny told the Prince of Wales and other royals gathered at a reception at the Guildhall: "She has been a great example of duty and public service for all of us. And for 70 years she has provided continuity, stability and unity. There could be no better ambassador for this country and for the Commonwealth.
"All of us here are very grateful for the service she has given and the way she has served as head of state - with dignity, devotion and a deeply rooted faith."

The reception comes after the service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral, during which the Archbishop of York praised the Queen's "staunch constancy" and "steadfast consistency".....

There was a mixture of Boos and cheers for Boris and the Sussex's...William and Kate and Charles and Camilla got the best reception.

They should just have a Royal Big Brother, rigged up a load of camera's in buck house, have every main royal stay there for a couple of months, give them shopping tasks etc, vote to evict every week. It would be a world wide ratings hit. That would be the best way to determine all these royals' popularity.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were loudly booed Friday while returning together to royal events in the UK for the first time in two years.
A small cheer initially greeted the exiled royal couple’s exit from St Paul’s Cathedral — just to be quickly drowned out by a chorus of shouted boos, video shows.

Similar booing broke out when the couple arrived for the National Service of Thanksgiving, their first public royal event together since officially quitting royal life two years ago.

Just like then, they appeared to get a frosty reception from other royals, too — with Harry’s brother, Prince William, and wife Kate sitting far away from them inside the cathedral.

William and Kate got the loudest cheers, followed by Charles and Camilla.
