,,I'm not sure it would achieve anything by saying something though, would it..?..I mean it wouldn't change anything that's happened and I think with anyone in your life/friends etc...you just have to make a decision about now and about whether you want that person as a friend and part of your life because we're all flawed and maybe it wasn't the best way to handle his friendship/s when he met someone..but then everyone is different when they meet someone they really care about...some people just become totally absorbed in their feelings and that person and that's all they see..and I don't think it's an intentional thing to exclude friends, it's just that they don't always have the capabilities to manage different relationships all at the same time ...hmmmm, I just think that mentioning it now won't really achieve anything and when he meets someone again, the same thing could happen..all we can do is to decide whether we want that friendship 'warts and all'...or whether we feel that person isn't someone we want in our lives.....

That's why I've been wondering if I should say something though, maybe he just didn't realise that that's what he's doing? It's not that I'd be bitching about how much I hated her, I'd just bring up that he didn't seem to spend any time with his friends and we're all so glad that he's around again... you know, in a positive way.

Yeah I'm with Ammi in this one. It could drive a wedge between you and won't change the last couple of years, yes he may think about it if he were to meet someone else but probably not. I have had friends who have done similar and I was just happy that they felt able to come back and carry on as before. It's obviously your call Greg, you have to do what feels right for you.

..I think that's exactly it, Annie...friendships don't always burn at the same brightness..quite often other things take priority in people's lives and the friendship fades a bit...and I do understand that feeling of being lest out or pushed aside but that happens and it isn't an intentional thing and I think the thing for me that I would focus on is not that I had felt that I wasn't important anymore at a time in their lives but that it was a sign of a strength in our friendship that the person felt they wanted to renew it again...

..I think it's also understandably hard to feel happy for a friend who has found someone that they want to spend all of their time with when it means that it will take them away from their own friendship with that person people can often think, oh I don't think that person is good for my friend/I don't like them that much..?...you know..?..

My mum's photo exhibition is now up was meant to be on Tuesday but it's now up today, Friday, which is a better day to premiere things anyway!! So proud!
