England full-back Luke Shaw told Southampton on the final day of the Premier League season that he wanted to join Manchester United.
The 18-year-old defender spoke to the Saints hierarchy at an event held at a hotel following the 1-1 home draw with United on 11 May.
By that time, United had already made a £27m offer for the left-back."

I bet Ed Woodward does screw up this one.
He should have been fired when Moyes was fired.

Wenger is doing exactly what he did last year with Ozil.. Hes waiting for other clubs to make the first move so that other players then become available so he's obviously got his eye on someone.

Is that back on? Someone told me this would happen last January but it turned out to be bull but the source is quite reliable. Cant see Wenger buying two strikers. TBH cant see Wenger buying one striker now he's got his own contract sorted.

morata and remy would be lovely please

not fussed about benzema (would obviously be wonderful if he joined but i'm not gonna hope for an Ozil II situation) and bony at 25m is daft.

Can't believe he has got himself another decentish Prem club really. His decline was so noticeable last season, far too slow and ineffectual now and will never be able to complete 90 minutes

Unsurprisingly, Van Gaal has told Woody to try sign Sanchez. He is pretty much a Van Gaal player. Wide player, pacey and can score goals. Would be a good signing for the quoted 25m..just gotta hope the money can lure him away
