A wouldn't like a spin-off. It would just turn the show into a bit of a gimmick. The unique thing about AHS is that you have one season, one story and that's it. You can love each series as its own unique thing.

Still don't like the axeman story, he's been in the house, able to manifest, yet he waited till then to do it, if he was a ghost why wasn't madison

Shame we have to wait two weeks for the next episode, looks like it will be a good one.

I'm not bothered about the axeman either. I hope it ends in the next episode. It's not doing anything for me.

Spoiler:

Firstly, the lack of Misty throughout the season is a real piss-take.
Secondly, the Kyle threesome thing was just uncalled for. I found myself laughing because it was so stupid and you could see it coming.
Thirdly, the axeman/Fiona sub-plot is hell-a-annoying and I really don't give a **** about it.
PS. Queenie's a bitch. (Although, from the looks of the E08 promo, she might redeem herself.)

If it wasn't mentioned above, I liked it.
But, thank God we're not getting a spin-off.

I don't understand people saying it's by far the best season so far. I can understand people having their favourites but "by far"?
In my opinion, it's contender for the worst of the three. I find a lot of the plot is just put in there for shock factor and the best and most interesting characters/plot-lines are left underdeveloped. (Yes, I know we're not finished yet, but we are over half way!)

I don't find Zoe likeable at all (although thought she was pretty bad ass this episode) and want more Misty/Cordelia .

I don't know why i'm having such a rant, it's still my favourite show of the year.
I just think the first two were so perfect (for me) that I find it easy to pick at.

All 3 series have had points where they seemed to lose the initial ideas. Aliens and Anne Frank last year for example.

I think the way it started, it was easily on course to be the best thing they've done so far. There was action, suspense, history, and gore. Horror is in the title, so people complaining about the shock value of some scenes to be missing the point.

You can't keep that up for a whole season as there just wouldn't be any room for the story to run through it, and the side story lines to happen. It's definitely the best series to me, as I remember them.

American Horror Story.

American Horror Story.

It's not the shocking 'horror' scenes i'm on about. Gimme more of them.
It's things like the threesome thing, the jar of jizz and ott sex scene with Cordelia, the Kyle and his mom stuff...

I'm no prude but some of the stuff it's just like... 'really?'

Aren't things like that really famously linked to the occult though? Sex rituals, ambiguity, and orgies come with the territory.

Apart from the sexual abuse, but it was hardly a hardcore porn scene. It's supposed to make you squirm and sit uncomfortably, otherwise what's the point?

True, I just think if less focus was put into ensuring those scenes were made (Sometimes I do feel like they are just put in their for the sake of it) and more was put into their plot-holes then it would be better overall.

It'd be better if they introduced them (the side stores) earlier imo, so that they don't just spring out of nowhere, like maybe some ghostly sort of things going on in the earlier eps that are then explained by the axeman saying it was him, rather than just having a flashback of something that happened when Fiona was 8

Or Madame whatsherface planting ideas in Queenies head that they'll never treat her equally, rather than her doing it once and Queenie sauntering off to Marie, everything seems to happen so suddenly

It's the problem with 12 show seasons. Some of the side stories could have just been done away with all together, but then I'm not sure how they'll pan out.
Spoiler:

You know that Queenie will eventually save her after the scenes where they get to know each other. And that Axeman who watches young girls dress is just s**t, but they can't get everything right
I suppose it all depends how they manage the impending war that is about to take place. The way that everyone is being pitted against each other will make for some outstanding TV. I'll be really disappointed if it's s**t now!

I think
Spoiler:

the "war" is gonna end up being resolved in the next couple of episodes, I think Queenie's gonna die, (seeing as she's credited as a guest star this season, rather than an actual main character, so I don't see why that'd be unless she died mid season.) and then the last few episodes will focus around the new supreme/misty/myrtle

True, but I wouldn't write her out just yet.
They seem to be writing in the deaths as they go along so may/may not have planned for her to die when the titles were made...

PS. Why'd they introduce the weird churchy neighbours so early and then not even mention them for a million episodes?
What is their purpose?

As a plot device to make people think Maddy was the new supreme, it also added a contrast between the prim and proper Christian religion, and witchcraft? I don't know - I'm just speculating, but the chances are we'll see them again at some point.

But why the big intro and promo shots for such a minor character.

Yeah, i'm sure we'll see them again but I meant in the same way as Misty, they seem very under-explored for so far into the season.

I really enjoyed the episode outside of the Axeman's character and it's nice to see Kyle get some proper development. Missed Nan, Myrtle and Misty's presence though.

And no new episode until December 4th

I like how this episode has taken things into a different direction.

- LaLaurie and Leveau's feud being relevant again
- Kyle actually being useful within the plot-line
- Everybody turning against Fiona

Next episode looks ah-mazing...I can't wait till the 4th December

Spoiler:

Just can’t wait to find out what happens in the next episode of American Horror Story: Coven? Ryan Murphy talked to Entertainment Weekly about his inspiration for the scenes and characters, as well as spoilers for the rest of the season.

On last night’s episode, Delphine was introduced to a new form of endless punishment for her sins when Queenie turns her over to Marie Laveau. “I love how Queenie finally does the right thing and Madame LaLaurie finally gets the justice she deserves,” said Murphy. “Well I just think now that Marie Laveau has her back she is going to make her life a living hell and she’s going to get her revenge. I think if LaLaurie thought living underground for all eternity was hell, she hasn’t seen nothing yet! It’s sort of an interesting synthesis of the rock up the hill idea because she can’t die.” Wow — a fate worse than being buried alive. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

But we’ll be able to see what happened in the past, too. They’re working on flashbacks to tell us more about Delphine. “We’re working on a great one right now that shows you how Madame LaLaurie became Madame LaLaurie. So we’re researching what actually happened to her. How did she go from being this creature to Jeffrey Dahmer? What happened?” I’m not sure I want to see what happened!

As for Queenie, she’ll be experiencing her own difficulties in the upcoming episodes. As she’s now a member of the voodoo witches, Murphy says, “Yes she’s trying to acclimate with that culture. She finds it both liberating but the truth of the matter is she does miss her friends over at the Robichaux house. She’s a lady torn.”

As for Spalding’s fate? He’s apparently not gone for long. “Well the interesting thing about that is he does come back of course,” said Murphy. “I think Spalding as a ghostly entity is almost more interesting than real life Spalding because he has many many many secrets. He knows where literally all the bodies are buried. The question is, who is he going to come back to protect?”

We have a lot more to be excited about next episode, though. Cordelia has a lot of work to do. “Well something happens in the next episode that is very eye-opening and illuminating for Cordelia which is this idea that no matter how much she hates her mother and no matter how horrible she is Fiona really is the strongest witch of them all,” said Murphy. “Do you get rid of your strongest player at a time when the witch hunters are trying to kill you? Also, Fiona is so smart she’s going to know if her daughter is trying to off her.” So they’re going to attempt something intense in the next episode. “It’s a tradition that dates back to the Salem days. Sometimes to protect other witches, a witch is allowed to create a sacred act, which is taking her own life. It is about that idea and the question is you know Fiona’s not going to go there on her own accord so the other witches try and get to her a place of trying to do that.”

Murphy even gave us some information about later episodes. Apparently Hank is going to wreak quite a lot of havoc soon. “Well he’s planning a big big big doomsday event, which we deal with in our winter cliffhanger, which is two episodes from now. It’s not pretty. It’s a great episode called ‘Head.’ Everything is about things that happen in the head.” Oh boy, we’d better get prepared!
