Absolute garbage!! I liked Marcus in the beginning (therefore looks have nothing to do with it - you are just trying to distract from real reasons)- until he started to try and manipulate and control Noirin. You are absolutely 100% correct. Marcus is judged by his looks. If he was more fit, the attitude towards him would be completely different. And the same is true for Noirin too. If she was mingin, everyone would be calling for her blood.

And whether you like Marcus or not, I can't believe how many people don't look at him and have even a pittance of compassion. I think what some people say here says more about themselves than about him.

eh?? if noirin was minging everyone would be calling for her blood?? she is disliked just as much as marcus is and if she was minging marcus wouldn't have gone near her

Actually yes. Because he hasn't really done anything wrong. He is socially awkward, but he definitely isn't a stalker. I've had a stalker. In fact, my last exam in uni was with the police outside the door because my stalker had threatened to kill me. Marcus is no stalker.

What has he done? He fell for a pretty girl. Wow... throw him in prison and lock away the key! Almost everyone in the world has fallen for someone who didn't like them back. Hopefully, they didn't have to suffer has Marcus has with her hot/cold treatment. He isn't perfect by any stretch, but he also isn't the villan that people paint him to be. I feel a bit sorry for the guy.

And let me turn the tables back on you. If your son/husband/father/brother had been treated the way that Noirin has treated him AND been called the villan for it, how would you feel?

You seem to be reading things into what I said that I certain did NOT say. Please point out to me where I mentioned anything at ALL to do with voting? When did I say that we should applaud him? All I said is that he is deserving of some compassion. And that is because he had his heart broken by someone he liked/loved. And he has to go through it on national television. Everyone on this board either has been or will be brokenhearted at some point. And it sucks.

And regarding Noirin, I think it is about half and half whether people like her or not. My point was that if she wasn't pretty, I think a lot less people would excuse her actions.
