Filming starts next year so I'd say later in 2010 or maybe in 2011

Starship Troopers definitely! Brilliant film but everyone laughs at me when I say how good I reckon it is!

Another two that I know are pretty silly but can't help liking are The Chronicles of Riddick and the latest Rambo.
Oh, and Serenity is a very underrated sci fi flick. |

Oh Joseph, Serenity is one of my favs of the last few years, but I think it helped that I was a fan of the series beforehand.

Amazing Film, the brain bug at the end was pretty lame though he was suppose to be the leader of them all and he is just a massive Blob of ****

The Hellboy flicks and the Last Boy Scout are pretty underrated. Very entertaining stuff.

I'd have to say The Orphanage. It's a hidden gem that's really quite good.

The Matrix Trilogy as a whole was massively underrated. The first one became a huge pop culture phenomenon and thus the sequels were in the mainstream but really they were never intended for mainstream consumption. Most people did not bother to understand them. They just wanted to see 'the black fella in the leatehr jacket shootin'.

I hate you all.

Hah Stu, I was way too young to get The Matrix. The only part I enjoyed was the sex scene in the first film. My god, that was hot.
I should really watch them again, if only for the sex.

Nah Stu, the other two were comprised of inane pseudo-psychological ramblings that alienated the audience and elevated the whole enterprise to a level of pomposity that actually made them laughable. Loved the first one and was absolutely appalled by the other two. Found it a chore to watch them.

Without sounding like a Broken record I think Studio Ghibli's films are Excellent but underappreciated outside of film fans. I think Sweeney Todd deserved more praise then it got, the same with Corpse Bride (not as good as NBC yes but still good in it's own right). Here's some others I can think of: Let the Right One In Grindhouse The Fountain Trick R Treat Boogie Nights Across The Universe Stardust (Similar to Princess Bride but still good in it's own right) Rock and Rule (more nostalgia based then anything) For soem reason I can only really think of more modern films, I'm gonna have to attack my DVD collection for some more inspiration. |
