To Be Fair Jade was not a good Celeb. more of a big brother celeb that got bad times and a bad doctor And MJ is a Icon that started at 5 years old. Who also had a bad doctor. silly to compare such levels even if you like jade. |

Define worst though... do you mean as in the saddest or most gruesome death?
The most tragic one that comes to mind straight for me is Marvin Gaye, who was shot by his own father in the heat of an argument. But yeah, there's plenty of others that are far worse in both respects to the two you have mentioned. |

Yeah Kirsty MacColl's was pretty horrific, plus her children saw it!

How does a kid ever get over the trauma of seeing their mother decapitated? It was gruesome beyond belief. I don't think they were ever able to prosecute the owner of the speedboat that killed her either, so no justice either.

Too glam to give a damn

Don't really think there is such a thing as a worse celebrity death, but when Jade died it sort of made me depressed, but when Michael died it was sort of like a dream...and that it effected me in a way.

Nothing in excess
|
I think deaths in classical music have been much sadder than deaths popular music, because most popstars normally die when they are well past their musical prime (lets not kid ourselves) or have long since sold out.
Mozart died when he was only 36 years old, when his music was getting better and better. Imagine if he had been given at least 15 more years. Schubert's musical output also showed no sign of slowing down or deteriorating, until he died of syphilis at the age of 31. He never had much success during his lifetime. I've never felt that robbed knowing a popstar or rockstar was dead although Charlie Parker, Buddy Holly, Nick Drake and Jimi Hendrix lived painfully short lives and had a lot more to give.

Aaliyah wasn't doing so bad until she died. There are far older, less talented people on that list.

thank you for that. For a moment I was worried it looked like I was advocating her death.

I'll be honest I've not heard of many on the list. But if you mean Patsy, Buddy or Otis I'll slap you.
