Totally agree with Kazanne in everything you have said, I do have bit of. A issue with Harry's fox hunting as well but I try to judge HM's what there are like in the house & not what they do in there personal(like celebarites I judge them on the job they do) not there personal lifes).

I suppose the thing with Jay is that he essentially lives up to the "lad" stereotype - drinking, working out, joking around about women and sex etc. - I think a lot of women do just quite like that image these days

I expect you'll find that BB advised him in the diary room - after he said he wanted to kick Harry's head in - that if he did do that then he would be swiftly removed from the house... but of course it was editted out to show his kind and responsible side.... and replaced with the crack 'n sack edit.
