Like he did to his wife after *he* got her pregnant? Who he then refused to sleep with again after she went through a forcep delivery? Ladies man can mean anything for goodness sakes. He is probably just a charming bloke who obviously attracts the attention of the opposite sex, and isn't going to tell them where to go. And a wind up merchant probably just means a joker. I get you don't like him, but still ....
