His character isn't as much strong as it is stuck. He has decided he has all the answers, and that's when you stop developing as a human being. The reason why he bothers people is because he's making others feel uncomfortable, not because they depend on him. He really is an energy drainer. If he had left, I bet more than anything they'd felt a huge relief.

People get obsessed by him so far Aaron-itis has gripped

1. Jay
2. Anton - who openly admits to being obsessed by an all consuming hatred of Aaron.
3. Louise has got a mild dose - revealed in peg task when she said she wanted to beat him then in the money reveal task where almost all her answers were Aaron
4. Rebeckah
5. Tom
6. Harry seems to have caught it now he's out of the house. Most of his tweets are Aaron based. He doesn't seem to discuss his fav Alex much. Oddly.

Yep, i think what it is - particularly with Jay & Anton, and to a lessor extent - Tom & Louise, is that Aaron is behaving quite different to anyone in their social circles on the outside, and they don't know how to deal with him, or connect. In normal life they'd just give up, and not be bothered to attempt to get to know him any further. But they've been stuck in this house with him, and known he's popular on the outside so have pushed themselves to try and get along. And basically it's come off looking like they're obsessed with him.

I think it is a question of intelligence. People with little find sitting silently very difficult.
Aaron is no genius but has considerably more than Jay etc. This enables him to resort to his own silent company; sometimes he does find it necessary to talk to himself.
