The British public or as I like to call then "PC Fearing public" aren't very clever.

They somehow seem to think its only racist if its towards Indians or Blacks and most of the time will complain just incase someones sensitive little feelings may have been hurt.

Some of us agreed that Jemima was backed into a corner by Gina where she had to defend herself for not being 'racist' after the bizzare accusation. This didnt really come out well for her.

Up to you what your take is on it though.

Uh, no. Homosexuality isn't a choice. Choosing to date someone based on race is. That isn't even the problem though. She's automatically assuming because Gina isn't white, she wouldn't date a white person. She's assuming something based on her race. Don't use someone's race to sum them up. That's a fundamental rule, and something even an idiot would know. Jemima walked right into that one. I didn't find what she originally said to be racist. She was obviously trying to give a clearer picture of the type of man she's after. What she said in the aftermath about what Gina's type would be based on her race, that was racist, and really disturbing.

BTW, can we knock off the linkage to said incident with homosexuality? It's really getting ridiculous. There is no likeness between the two.

And the Mister Chow thing -- not cool at all. People have got to stop using people's race for jokes or casual discussion. Enough already. Stop discussing race PERIOD! Why don't they tell them this before they enter?!

They call him 'Mr Chow' because she looks like the character Mr. Chow from The Hangover. It isn't just a random racial remark.

Commenting that somebody looks like someone from a film is not racist.

I didn't agree with the warning given to Jemima and don't consider her racist but I think all was a heated moment anyway.
I have found I have said things as to this BB on here, I would have been better to just fume inside rather than let out.
When you speak immediately on impulse it can come out the wrong way.

However, I think over the last few days Gina is becoming a really good and entertaining housemate with much more to come and clearly she has moved well on from that incident too.
