As has been suggested, the 'you probably wouldn't date a white guy' comment has worse undertones than the 'I wouldn't date a black man' one. It's like saying that because I wouldn't date another man I must be homophobic, well I wouldn't and I'm not.

Some of us agreed that Jemima was backed into a corner by Gina where she had to defend herself for not being 'racist' after the bizzare accusation. This didnt really come out well for her.

Up to you what your take is on it though.

Yeah I agree Jemima wasn't being racist at all but I won't call Gina the anti-Christ for how she perceived things.

Uh, no. Homosexuality isn't a choice. Choosing to date someone based on race is. That isn't even the problem though. She's automatically assuming because Gina isn't white, she wouldn't date a white person. She's assuming something based on her race. Don't use someone's race to sum them up. That's a fundamental rule, and something even an idiot would know. Jemima walked right into that one. I didn't find what she originally said to be racist. She was obviously trying to give a clearer picture of the type of man she's after. What she said in the aftermath about what Gina's type would be based on her race, that was racist, and really disturbing.

BTW, can we knock off the linkage to said incident with homosexuality? It's really getting ridiculous. There is no likeness between the two.

And the Mister Chow thing -- not cool at all. People have got to stop using people's race for jokes or casual discussion. Enough already. Stop discussing race PERIOD! Why don't they tell them this before they enter?!
