interesting how the arrogance of us supposedly more intelligent brits lead us to believe we could impose our belief system on the middle east as theyre clearly silly enough to follow a religion.....so we tried that in the persain gulf/Iraq and Afghanistan and across the region....

Neither can you. I place my afterlife in the hands of probability, which states I'll decompose and become a mini ecosystem, not ascend to heaven, or descend to the fiery pits of hell. You have it ass-backwards, it's those who posit such places exist to begin with that need to prove what does/doesn't exist, as those that don't have any belief can just assume that it doesn't.
