Yeah it's overstepping a mark regardless of whether they're together or not... if the woman and her husband hate each other then he's betraying his friend; if they are still close then he's betraying his friend... friends should always steer clear of their friends' exes

All facetious comments aside, I think Simon Cowell doesn't respect women and clearly doesn't have many true friends either going by his public and private dealings with people. He'll probably die old and lonely and no amount of money or casual sex or illegitimate children can change that, in my opinion.
