You are nearly right Niamh....what Dan used to do was interfere in all the arguments to stop them getting air time and to make himself look big. The convo would then be side tracked and it all became about Dan and his so called skills and Daddy figure aura. That's why he is out and the others march on. Dan became toooo overpowering and way too judgemental. If an argument is left between 2 people it will flourish, once a 3rd party gets involved it looses impetus.

People think that Dan was the glue in the house, he was actually the biggest camera hogger of them all and it got him booted when he became predictable and to a degree boring.
