But she's said variations of the same thing many times. Part of the conversation Helen overheard in the toilet was Ashleigh having "given Helen a chance and actually surprised that I like her".

Tbf I think it's intended to have both effects described here with different viewers and cause controversy, and it's certainly working. I suppose that's why you're having this debate right now.

Either way it creates controversy and a buzz around the show, and probably more votes for and against her.
