Social values will be fine I'm sure, maybe the decision to take refugees direct from the camps is a counter terrorism strategy.

But its pretty obvious those crossing the borders in southern Europe are not humanitarian refugees, and many, many of them will make their way to the UK.

If I'm understanding correctly, those being rescued from refugee camps will be vetted before entry into the UK and that's fine, but I bet the same checks are not carried out that are carried out for standard immigrants.

Also, I've seen no plan for where these refugees will be settled. The government have made a serious mess of that in the past, so I have no confidence that they can get it right now.
