Madonna reinvents herself and some of her songs are catchy and classic , but vocally Gaga is alot better so I say Gaga ,despite Gaga being influenced a bit by Madonna .

But then which singers haven't been influenced by other artists . Michael Jackson's style & music definitely had a huge impact on Justin Timberlake & Usher .

MADONNA has an amazing back catalogue of work and is she is extremely creative. The millennials just don't understand how massive she was in the 80's and 90's. Like A Virgin, True Blue, Like A Prayer and The Immaculate Collection were HUGE selling album's and the tours made her so much money. The only other big artist at the time was Michael Jackson. Of course, we had George Michael, Whitney and Prince but they weren't nearly as popular.

Madonna had 7 #1 singles within the space of 5 years.

Everything was great up until MDNA (2012) but she derailed herself with that album. Rebel Heart had it's moments but it was kinda bogged down with fillers. A 10 track album would've been great.

Gags was ok when she released "The Fame", but everything after that has been dire imo, and let's face it, if it wasn't for the weird costumes, she wouldn't have received half the adoration she's received. I think the reason many people dislike her is her desperation, lies and sh!tty attitude, not to mention her fanbase. Her obsession with trying to get a #1 is hilarious. I mean for someone who claims to "not write for the charts" look how many times she's tried to rig it. Everything she does seems forced. Nothing's organic. She does have a good voice, but I just don't like her at all.
