Tbf TV Shows such as The Big Bang Theory and Bones had similar problems yet we don't hear of any Australians kicking up a stink about them? And there's less excuses for those stories considering they're far more modern than Grease.
Btw I'm not even a big fan of Grease, but fairs fair here.

I know the song 'Grease Lighting' is probably seen as inappropriate for kids to sing , as some of the lyrics are rude.
But as for finding it 'offensive' on a whole is a bit ott ....Grease was made in the late 70s and was SET in the 50s , i really don't know what people expect ?. It's just a movie /musical with well known songs, even Olivia Newton John has said it's just a fun movie not to be taken seriously. I remember even on Gogglebox some of the celebs found some of the scenes from Back to the future as ' problematic' , but it's still a classic and will always be one of my favourite movie trilogy's. These movies are of their time, and it's just entertainment. Last edited by GoldHeart; 18-11-2021 at 03:33 AM. |
