Hollyoaks have lost the knack for ending stories.

Louise's exit, Niall's exit, Claire's first exit were all great. Silas and Warren's recent exits were kind of abrupt ends to the stories and quickly forget about them.

They both were left at the arrest point aswell, when there'd no doubt be a full investigation and trial with both cases. Ah, well.
No doubt Jamie Lomas is going to try out for pilot season in America again. He'll be back in 2013.

Hollyoaks newcomer Montana Manning has revealed her character is set to be a heartbreaker.

The former member of girlband Cookie arrived in the village this week as sexy drama student Jodie Wilde and has already caught the eye of Hollyoaks hunk Dodger. But Montana revealed Jodie isn't very interested in men.

She said: "She will set hearts racing and its because she's different to most girls - she can switch on and off.

"Her focus is performing arts. Falling in love to her is a fools game - she treats 'em mean and keeps 'em keen!"

Montana hopes Jodie doesn't fall out with all the other girls, but admits it could happen.

She said: "I think she's very likeable but you never know... girls do fancy that Dodger and I think he may have a thing for her."

But the actress hopes Jodie will be more than just a pretty face.

She said: "I hope she has some gritty storylines, I think there is a lot behind her confidence and flirty eyes that she keeps hidden."

I agree that the writing has been abysmal for exit storylines. The Hollyoaks PTB need to sort this out and be more consistent.

Didnt catch the E4 show yesterday so will see the exit tonight... dont think Warren was that great tbh but he had a big impact so his exit should be big.

Same Jords I have not seen it either but having read everything it is very disappointing, although seeing as Brendan is sticking around other things such as Danny Houston's death could not be involved in this storyline because both would be implicated so the writers will just forget about it.

My mind has gone absolutely blank regarding Danny Houston. I remember they dumped his body in the pond and vaguely remember the body was found, but can not work out whether I dreamt it or it really happened.

Did they find his body and if so how did they explain his death ?

I really liked Doug's ep, very interesting to see what the outcomes could have been, quite sad too

oh and Warren's exit wasnt too bad... the ep should have had more (or entire) focus on Warren/Mitzeee/Brendon/Joel/Nancy/Theresa though... with Doug's bit at the end for the next episode (thought that was great, I wasnt gonna watch E4 but it made me)

I wasn't too keen on Doug's story, but as the episode moved so did I, I thought it turned out to be one of the best episodes since Silas left the screen.

Really found myself getting all soppy at the end with Frankie and Steph's message.

Much better than Warren's episode previously.

I think it could have been carried out better, but the build-up to the jump was very moving at the beginning, and again when Doug realized he had to let Bex go and as you said Steph's message for Frankie.

I think the message of self-importance and just how much things could be different was delivered well enough, if a bit messy

Funny that the one and only time I've heard of that pond actually being used it's harbouring a dead body for someone to find. lol

I watched half the Hollyoaks Best bits of 2011 show on E4 earlier, although I went out half way through it but the episode was hilarious and Alex Carter who used to play Lee took Mitzeee's place in that scene of HO Later where she was naked with Riley.

I like that Hollyoaks are not afraid to laugh at themselves.

The second half is even better and you'll love who Will talks to towards the end of the episode.

You're right, they do know how to take the piss out of themselves, especially the CSI Silas part...
