finally the moment had arrived, Halep beating her nemesis Konta in 2 sets 6-4, 7-6 to make it to the Semi Finals in Cincinnati where she'll play Sloane Stephens who had defeated Julia Gorges in 2 sets either, 6-3, 7-6

US Open coming, poor Sloane Stephens now ranked 3rd but having to defend 2.000 points here, so if she doesn't she'll fall back to place 6 or 7


Wozniacki not in form, Serena not being the unbeatable machine anymore, Halep could be a contender but needs a favourable draw
