However it seems yougov are changing their method of polling.

The latest poll coming out has Labour apparently on 40%, the Cons on 19% and REFORM now rising to 17%.
That's quite some change if that's where things are going.

Labour won 40% of the vote in 2017. That statistic alone points out both the absurdity of our political system, and the fact this election is a tory collapse, and absolutely nothing to do with enthusiasm for labour.

As slim suggests, % of the vote is not necessarily as meaningful as it looks. The tories have had 13 years to mess around with constituencies so that they favour tory seat numbers irrespective of national vote %.

That doesn't mean the polls are wrong, it just means that it may not translate so easily into seat majorities
