Kosovo Super League club Hajvalia have offered to take Liverpool FC striker Luis Suarez on loan as he serves his four-month ban from FIFA.

The state in Southeastern Europe, which declared independence from Serbia in 2008, isn’t a full member of FIFA so is unaffected by the governing body’s regulations.

Hajvalia officials want Suarez to play for them until his ban expires in late October and are willing to pay him £300 per week.

“Suarez can’t play in the next four months,” said club director Xhavit Pacolli.

“As we are not part of FIFA yet, I think he can play in Kosovo, so we have an offer that we will send to Liverpool.

“We offered £25,000 and a salary of £1,200 for each month. This might sound ridiculous to him, but that is all we can do.

“If he is willing to come and play for us, he is welcome. As we are not part of FIFA, it would be ideal for him.”
