Surely, with all the time-shift and on-demand programming available, overnights are only indicative - over the days following a major event, people play catch-up and the "officials" reflect the "true" viewing figures, which for ITV and BBC, could, presumably, be enhanced enormously and, for the lesser channels, hardly at all (numerically) .....

Week 3's eviction was 1.85 but most of the other ratings were 1.4/1.5 officially compared to the weeks before getting mostly 1.7/1.8. Last week only 1 episode dropped below 1.7 million. Source: Last edited by daniel-lewis-1985; 02-07-2012 at 02:48 PM. |

And yes Patrick, so far the series average is 1.89m compared to BB12's 1.6m. Scroll down to the channels Channel 5 and Channel 5+1. They are different to what was shown on Wiki. http://www.barb.co.uk/report/weekly-top-programmes Last edited by *mazedsalv**; 02-07-2012 at 02:54 PM. |

Look up at the link I sent you. It's completely different to the Wiki one. http://www.barb.co.uk/report/weekly-top-programmes It shows Thursday on Channel 5 alone got 1.8m (not including the +1), the DS experts will know what the rest of the ratings will be. if you look carefully. It was the 4th column of the table, and that rating was shown on the Friday. There's been 4 evictions... so if it's been there for days, someone put the rating there before Lydia was even evicted....

I can fully back Salv up on this, the ratings are far better than what some think. The wikipedia thing must have being someone just putting anything in. I bet a week after BB13 is completely over, the official ratings for the series will be epic. BB is holding up quite well this year compared to BB12. |

IIRC, you have to wait a week for those to be released and you get them from BARB.

You'll have to go to BARB for that. Here's the link to it and go to Channel 5 http://www.barb.co.uk/index/index

True, you're posting facts but you can't just post raw data and get a meaningful conclusion - they're a lot more complicated than that... And, yeah, Euro 2012 did affect everything on television. Are you telling me that a show on Channel 5 - or anywhere, in fact - could fare against 23 million viewers? Is that what you're saying? G'wan with your ridiculous and ill thought-out logic that falls like a stack of cards whenever anyone who actually knows anything about ratings quotes you. I've said my peace.

No matter what I do, we can't change the fact thar your argument was ridiculous and untrue. I then went on to say that your ideas were ill-informed and that you were ill-informed, which basically suggests you get your facts right before engaging in such a discussion as this. I believe all this falls under the category of 'acceptable forum behaviour'. What is the point of even posting on a forum if you don't want people to challenge what you say? If you can't handle it why post? Point me to where it says pointing out the flaws to someone's weak argument is not appropriate.

1.38m for last night
Not as high as I wanted, but it's climbing which is always a good sign. The task started today and it's a 7 day task. This could maybe boost then, dunnnoo. |
