Oh, and I do have a life. I'm not here 24/7 posting dozens of posts every day. I have my limits.

Other people here, on the other hand, could do with some fresh air .
I manage to post on here and have a life, so I get the best of both. Obviously as most forum members are between the ages of 14-19ish, most cant be out all night as they cant get into clubs. There are less things teens can do, meaning we post more on here in the holidays (to those who have not got jobs, I have a job and manage to work 9 hours a day as well as come on here).

So you want most of us to go out, and get pissed in the park? Ok then.

So the safety of a substance can be directly determined by it's legal status? And the assumption is that by smoking pot I am automatically ruining my life yet your drinking is fine? When every statistic on the planet confirms that drink ruins far more lives?

Oh dear. You really don't want to get into this with me.

Please come back in the future. I agree with you about bb10 by the way. I do love every Big Brother but bb10 was the least enjoyable series for me but I am still looking forward to CBB!

I was just going to leave until you replied with that...

Did I ever say I was talking about saftey when I said you could mess up your life? No. If you get caught with the drugs or even dealing it (do you deal?), and the cops catch you, you've messed up and could go to jail.

Same thing doesn't apply to drink.

Some drugs have huge side effects which drink doesn't have if taken in small quantities.

See my post above re. Nicotine and Alcohol has killed millions.. they are legal.
Nicotine is addictive and causes heart disease/attacks etc... and alcohol damage the liver and is the main cause of car accidents and deaths.

You added a nice bit of welcoming positivity to an otherwise increasingly negative thread. Your comments brightened it up for me!

There's many articles on the Internet as well saying drugs are worse than drink. Here's one: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/5402008.stm

There's more if you do a Google search.

Anyway, I'm off now...

I don't deal and I only ever smoke in people's homes. Even if a Gardai happened to catch me through the curtains, the most they do in this country is take your stuff and send you on your way. So I appreciate your concern but walking through town on a Saturday night puts me at a greater risk of having my life ruined by some jumped up wanker on booze.

Not only is drink a drug, but you have no idea how to argue this. There is no such drug as 'drugs'. 'Drugs' as a term can't be said to be more harmful than drink.

Why? You may not agree with his views - but that doesn't make him disgusting and vile. I have heard a lot worse on this forum!

Alcohol, caffeine and nicotine are three of the most addictive drugs yet they are legal. A lot of sources rank them as being more addictive than some class A drugs.

Smoking is only dangerous because of the tobacco and all the chemicals in that, nicotine is about as harmful as fresh air.
