I don't personally care if the public just 'like' a HM because of their looks. What gets me is when they vote for the HM based on their looks. The majority of voters are teenage girls therefore a genuinely brilliant HM could lose out on the prize fund because he or she is in the final with candy, unfair (N)

I'm a guy, and yet John James is currently my favorite HM. Why? Because even though ALL the HM's are currently worried about how they'll look to the public, John James is the only one who seems eager to make a good impression simply because he's a good guy and he wants to show it (instead of the others like Govan and Rachael, who are insecure about what others think of them). He's a genuinely nice guy, kinda shy, not shallow, interesting and funny. Just 'cuz he's goodlooking don't assume all his fans are shallow for liking him.

I think when he loses his self-consciousness he'll be a classic HM.

I cba going to hunt Steph's quote down but the main reason I liked Tom was how he sussed Bea out so early on while people on here and in the house all seemed to love her. I knew she was going to turn out awful as well so I sort of related to him in that way, plus he was the most genuine and that's what I like in HMs. Plus nobody bandwagoned on Tom because he was 'hot.' That's exactly what's happening with John, and if you want to support him for that reason alone then fine that's your choice. IMO John is better looking guy than Tom and if you think I supported them on looks then don't you think I'd be supporting John as well then? I just think he's a plank.

This what he said! also im female but i dont like housemates on their looks i like how they act etc! JJ's facial expressions are class he looks so confused half the time, his accent helps as i like the aussie accent but if he was a kn*b i wouldnt support him regardless of his looks/accent or not!

Yes he is "hot". However I don't really dislike anyone at the moment. John seems a bit shifty probs.. but I am keeping a close eye on them all!

The UK version was the only possibility because his parents are British, so he has a British passport. So he might have wanted to go to the USA one if he had the choice.
