I carnt understand people saying good luck to them, why would anyone give a child to a fat old hasbeen pensioner like elton john,he will probably only see it 10 mins a week when he,s having his picture taken with it for the papers, the poor kid will end up a rich orphen
never knowing a mothers love, with more hang ups than a wardrobe.

Mother's love!!! Not all Mothers are loving. Tracey Connelly ring any bells with you? Karen Matthews perhaps?

Pfft.

if an ordinary couple want to adopt a baby, they go through 6 months of hell, being interviewed, home visits,by social workers and they think 39 is to old,
I wouldent leave my dog with elton john

Why? He's ditched his entire career to devote time to the baby

you were the one banging on about a Mother's love, not 'ordinary couples'. I see you had no answer to my comments about Tracey Connelly, Karen Matthews then? What love did they show their children? Being a child's biological mother does not grant direct pathway to a loving, caring, protective and nuturing environment or upbringing.

As for your comments above: Elton has gone through the surrogacy route: not regular adoption -it's an entirely different process and cannot be compared in the way you are trying to do.

I'm quite sure Elton would be delighted never to need to take care of your dog. I'm sure he'll be far more delighted at taking care of his son.

what comments do you want me to make its obvious to me and everyone else
there are evil women out there who should never have had kids,
a mother is someone who brings you up loves you, and takes care of you,and allright sometimes its a father who does the same good job,can you honestly say elton john would be a wonderful dad I dont think so

It's surrogacy so it'll be his child though, he won't be adopting (that's how it works isn't it?)

Usually yes. Sometimes they go by independant donors but the usual route is that one parent is the sperm or egg donor (sometimes both and the surrogate is no biological relation to the baby)

There's 'talk' that it was David's sperm...... Elton may not necessarily be the biological Daddy.

The only ones who will know for sure, are those who need to know I guess. quite right too.... it's really buggar all to do with anyone (but it's good to guess!)

Do you live in the dark ages? I was brought up by my father until the age of 10. I never felt I missed out

Life isn't all about perfection and a mum, dad and 2.4 kids you know?

Plus plenty of celebrities bring the tots on the road. And before you get your knickers in a twist about 'nyah that's not suitable!' his tour bus is probably better equipped than most houses. I'm sure the wee lad will be fine.

Some of the homophobic and ageist opinions stated on this thread are disgusting and quite frankly I feel sorry for any kids whose parents hold such views which will, no doubt, be passed on to them, thereby perpetuating such nonsensical, prejudiced and malicious attitudes.

Hard not to disagree. Very blinkered, overly prejudiced comments being thrown around - mind you - who is to say that it's not been done 'for effect'.... you know, adding a little drama and all that!! I'm finding it hard to take some of the comments seriously, so ridiculous they are!
