Hollywood startlet Lindsay Lohan is not expected to serve any time in jail after she pleads no contest to a theft charge Wednesday!

Information leaked exclusively to RadarOnline indicate that Lohan's high-powered attorney, Shawn Holley, and the new prosecutor on the case, Melanie Chavira, just met with the judge presiding over all things Lindsay.

And the group decided Lohan would remain on the right side of the prison bars!

When Lohan pleads, Judge Stephanie Sautner told the lawyers she would sentence the star of Mean Girls and Freaky Friday to another year's probation.

It's a stunning victory for Lohan, whose rap sheet is getting longer than her movie credits.

"Lindsay knows she dodged a major bullet," a source close to the situation said. "She doesn't like the fact she'll be on probation for another year, but it beats being in state prison."

Lohan already is paying a debt to society in connection with a violation of probation for a 2007 DUI conviction, her second. Lohan, 24, is performing 380 hours of community service at a downtown Los Angeles shelter for homeless women. She was also sentenced to 120 in the pokey, but Judge Sautner today told the attorneys she'd allow Lohan to serve that time at home with an ankle bracelet. The actress could be able to work on movies during the day.

Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 30 days in jail, and the judge is holding her on a tight leash to make sure she completes her probation.

Lindsay admitted she violated her probation by not attending therapy sessions as required by the court and by getting kicked out of the Downtown Women's Center.


The judge now says ALL of Lindsay's community service must now be served at the L.A. County Morgue. And the judge gave Lindsay a tight structure on how she must complete the rest of her probation, and if she doesn't the judge will put a warrant out for her arrest and sentence her to an additional 270 days in jail.

As for the 30 days Lindsay is getting now -- the judge made it clear ... NO HOUSE ARREST.

The Sheriff's Dept. tells us Lindsay will serve 20% of the 30 days -- 6 days in jail.

Judge Stephanie Sautner gave Lindsay a strict schedule on completing the rest of her probation -- by December 14, she must have completed 12 days at the morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. By January 17, another 12 days at morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. And so on. Everything must be completed by March 29 -- or she goes directly to jail for 270 days.

The judge clearly thinks Lindsay needs a rigid structure to complete her sentence, and as the judge put it, Lindsay is holding the keys to the jail cell.

And the judge strongly suggested Lindsay stop tweeting about her experiences at the morgue.

At the end, Lindsay seemed happy, walking out of court saying, "Thank God," under her breath.

Sources in the courtroom tell us that when the judge got off the bench she remarked about Lindsay, "She looks good today."

The Mean Girls star, 25, yesterday admitted violating the terms of her probation for stealing a gold necklace.

But US sources said her lawyer told the LA Superior Court that she had a $1million contract for a Playboy shoot that she had to do this week.

Lohan must report for her month in jail next Wednesday, despite claims she will serve MINUTES due to overcrowding.

After she gets out she must start five months' community service.
