The comparison you make with the other situation is way off. That was provoked to some extent by someone lying about his identity to the whole forum, using a fake picture, and even, from what has been reported, planning to meet someone. In my opinion those facts mitigate what the other person (I am told) did, as stupid as it was.

What Stacey did was more than just saving pictures posted on the forum as the quoted posts above claim - she had a folder for virtually every active member on the forum, which the forum found out about when she then shared a screenshot with someone else. Not just one or two pictures taken from the Meet the Members thread on this forum, but pictures taken from members' social networking and image account profiles - of people who have never posted pictures on the forum or put a link up to their Facebook or other profiles - and also saved images from group webcam chats.

It was a big invasion of privacy. It involved lots of people - even ones have been on the site from way back and never get into dramas or involved in cliques or anything like that.

How can she be unbanned when so many people were creeped out by it? Even people who were active on the forum then but aren't now - what if they returned and saw that she was back posting. What kind of message does that send out?

Some of you don't seem to understand the harm stuff like this can cause to people.

And I don't understand why this should be subject to a forum poll. A lot of people on here now weren't on the forum when she got banned, or wouldn't have been aware of what happened.

The other point people seem to be perpetuating is that members are getting banned for one incident when in fact there has been an accumulation of incidents, and have been causing lots of trouble and never seem to change.

I'll leave this topic open for a little while longer if anyone wants to respond, and then close it again and delete it, as these topics always result in more division and drama being caused.

Well what was missing from that post you quoted was that said member was actually pretending for years to someone they aren't, a completely different gender that had arranged to meet up with another forum member and that the photographs in MTM had actually been stolen from the person they were pretending to be all along.

You seem to be forgetting that the image that was saved wasn't even of a member of this forum (not that it makes it right) but basically your argument becomes invalid when the member in question had been stealing those same photos for years to post on this forum in the first place.

Oh you mean Mollie/Mike.

I pretended to be somebody else too, It was a mistake and sometimes we get caught up in mistakes and it just snowballs. I mean I know I never went as far as Mollie did but I pretended to be a stranger because I was unhappy with how I looked, I was lucky those involved accepted me for me in the end.

It wasn't harmless, not to members on this site that got close to the persona that Mike had invented..

Anyway...just because both incidents involved photos of members doesn't mean they can be compared, it was completely different scenarios.

No, she's a disgusting excuse for a human being and she violated the privacy of most members here, she should have been banned long before she was. I had the unfortunate experience of seeing her on the Razzies forum before she was removed from it and she still had the exact same attitude as before, I don't think the question should even be asked about whether she should be unbanned or not. Should mentioning her be banned? That's a better question!

There was a lot of nasty comments been thrown on that forum by members who are still on here. One that sticks out was Salman getting told he'll be kicked out of his religion. So let's not act like Stacey was the only one with a bad attitude on there.

I don't often post on here and know very little about Stacey but from what I've heard on this thread alone, I don't think she should be brought back. Trolling the forum is annoying but I can deal with that. Ultimately it's harmless.

However, to use peoples personal photos to blackmail people and even taking photos from offsite (both of which I'm only assuming happened based on the posts here... correct me if I'm wrong) is not right at all and I'd be quite upset if that happened to me. Equally, whoever it is that some of you guys say has used personal photos of people in the past yet got away with it should be banned too. I just don't agree with that at all. If you want attention then spam the forum with loads of annoying posts but no one should ever take an Internet forum that seriously.

Yes, members have done the same on here whilst being over the age of 20 and dealing with pictures of members under 18, and even going far as to research about their personal lives, but the majority of people on here still love them (god knows why but yeah) what Stacey did was tame in comparison especially considering she was young herself

I've been speaking to her for almost two years now and I don't think she's malicious at all. She was only standing up to herself in the razzies forum because people like Smithy were giving her a **** time
