Clocked lol!
For the record all I know is what I've seen on this thread and I agree that this Stacie girl shouldn't be allowed back if she was keeping a database of members images

I was 14 when I joined and I've yet to save any pictures to my computer... I get that people mature at different ages and sometimes teenagers don't understand the consequences of the little things that they do but you're old enough at 15 to know that seeking out peoples facebook profiles and keeping folders full of members images is definitely not right.
To be honest, even if she has completely changed and is a totally different person I think the damage has already been done. People who want to keep in touch with her are more than welcome to do so offsite but I don't think it would be the right decision to allow her back on here. I'd say that goes for all permabanned members too. What's the point of having the option to permanently ban someone if we're going to bring them back again a couple of years later?? Equally - before anyone says anything - I think that anyone who invades another forum members privacy in such a way should be banned too. Ultimately we all originally signed up to this website to talk about a silly reality tv show, not to have our private lives exposed without our consent. It's totally unfair to the people involved. Well what was missing from that post you quoted was that said member was actually pretending for years to someone they aren't, a completely different gender that had arranged to meet up with another forum member and that the photographs in MTM had actually been stolen from the person they were pretending to be all along.

No, because that's not trying to locate a member's personal details by researching their school uniform and contacting their family members, when you're a bunch of 20+ year olds guys and the person in question is a teenage girl

You seem to be forgetting that the image that was saved wasn't even of a member of this forum (not that it makes it right) but basically your argument becomes invalid when the member in question had been stealing those same photos for years to post on this forum in the first place.

This isn't a teenage girl. He's a bloke, called Mike. Somebody who thought it would be fine to not only steal anoyher persons identity, but to use it to grow friendships with others, going as far as to allow somebody meet them at a certain point only to cancel out. I'm not arguing that it went too far, but sticking up for Mike is just bizarre imo.

I pretended to be somebody else too, It was a mistake and sometimes we get caught up in mistakes and it just snowballs. I mean I know I never went as far as Mollie did but I pretended to be a stranger because I was unhappy with how I looked, I was lucky those involved accepted me for me in the end. I still think basically stalking a member to find out where they live and informing their relatives of their online actions is way ott.

I'm asking why people feel the need to hold onto these pathetic incidents from a long time ago instead of growing up and moving on. The incident is over, what good is holding onto screenshots going to do? Seriously? Last edited by Marsh.; 15-12-2013 at 06:17 PM. |

If it wasn't for Munch then Mollie might still be on here.

I do agree that the way it was exposed was out of order again I don't think anyone has ever said otherwise? Anyway...just because both incidents involved photos of members doesn't mean they can be compared, it was completely different scenarios. |
