The reason why I said 1.9m is because I noticed a pattern in the all the summer CBB's with the exception of CBB8, that the summer CBB usually rates 0.4m-0.6m higher than the civilian series it follows. With BB16 averaging around 1.4m and presuming the same pattern occurs, CBB16 should average around 1.9m/2.0m.
Not to mention, the fact that it's going to be on throughout roughly the whole of September may hinder the ratings as school and work may get in the way. And the late start. Last edited by Jason.; 17-08-2015 at 07:20 PM. |

I actually think it will launch pretty high tbh.
I think people will be very intrigued with the new direction its taken its not the same old same old and theres been a nice little break since BB16 ended plus im seeing it promoted everywhere. I work from home so the tv is allways on in the background and Viacom are heavily promoting it on all their channels especially during FRIENDS and its on almost every ad break on MTV plus obviously its being promoted daily on the Channel 5 channels. Some billboards would be a nice surprise but with only a week to go I guess that's not going to happen but theres been promo with guests on This Morning talking about CBB I personally think Eeamon Holmes will be entering. Im going to go with a 2.8 launch and that's an overnight with an official of 3.1 and a 2.5 average the rumoured cast are sure to cause a lot of drama. Not much competition at 9PM on Thursday:
BBC One - Who Do You Think You Are? BBC Two - World's Busiest Railway ITV - Stephen Fry In Central America Channel 4 - Secret History So should do well, none of the shows really appeal to the type of BB audience. Last edited by Will.; 22-08-2015 at 04:44 PM. |

It was up against New Tricks, and apparently began at 9.05pm for a reason I've since forgotten. CBB15 was originally scheduled to launch up against Broadchurch, which as far as TV scheduling goes is the equivalent of, oh, I don't know, forgetting about a general election. Ahem.

There finally choosing a lunch date which is perfect for competition. Pre BB16 was a complete mess. Pre CBB16 on the other hand is great - finding out all the details 3/4 in advance and not 2 weeks like BB16. CBB12 had a bit of competition I think, but still rated high on Thursday. That was my original but idk if there's been enough promo to justify a 1m ish rise on the BB final apart from it being CBB
