If this thread was at all about constructively picking apart Chanelle's behaviour, it would have begun with something along the lines of "well that comment was unnecessary/gross/completely out of order", not "guess what, Chanelle, you're a slag too!"

Don't agree with the name calling but Rebecca was begging for a row tonight. They both said nasty thing but Rebecca shouldn't have interfered between chanelle and Andrew.

I don't think there's anything graceful or mature about calling anyone a whore, no, but you seem to think that the behaviour of Big Brother housemates serves as a kind of moral barometer for viewers, as if you're using the logic of "they did it, so why can't I?"

The primary issue here is Chanelle's behaviour and it's hypocrisy. That's why this thread was started.

But you seem more concerned with a secondary issue, being this thread's reaction to Chanelle, rather than being concerned with the behaviour of Chanelle herself.

Surely that is the point of this forum after all. We are not here opening threads about each other but about the BB housemates.

I'm fundamentally disagreeing that this is an issue of hypocrisy because I fundamentally disagree with women being called whores, which the argument that Chanelle's being a hypocrite for calling Rebecca a whore implies. It's not that complex.

Let alone what it says about me that my first reaction to seeing this thread title was "oh okay, a thread criticising Chanelle's choice of words" and not "oh okay, a thread calling Chanelle a sexually promiscuous slag"

I was really hoping we could've had a nice civil discussion as adults discussing why it's wrong that Chanelle called Rebecca a slag and why we shouldn't judge people on their life choices and sexual history, nor reduce women (you know, who are people, we're not Kieran's on this forum) to sexual objects in a mature way, but it just has to end this way (I mean it started this way but yeah)

I don't think hypocrisy comes into it because I don't believe in calling women whores for being remotely sexually expressive, since the "Chanelle's a hypocrite" argument has a silent "...because she's a whore too" on the end. As I've already said.
