Good on her. Everyone deserves a right to their privacy if thats what they want no matter who they are or how you feel about them

Quand il pleut, il pleut

...absolutely and that’s the main point...regardless of how anyone feels about Meghan or any celebrity, this win is something that should be celebrated because the Tabloid media have such disregard for privacy on any level...their only aim is to sensationalise, however harmful that is...Meghan’s victory with this is a victory against their shabbiness and something which should be celebrated widely and I’m glad that she uses her voice in these things...

Yes, everyone deserves privacy, but Meghan didn’t care about her privacy when People magazine quoted her friends revealing those parts of the letter to her father that put her in a good light and her father bad. Did she sue them? Nope.
It’s fine for her fathers privacy to be breached but not Meghan's when he tries to defend himself. He doesn't have the means of having a 'voice' in the way she does. It’s fine for her non - celebrity elderly fathers privacy to be breached when paps are camping on his doorstep and stalking him and Meghan refuses to let him be aided in any way. Everyone deserves privacy ‘no matter who they are or how you feel about them’ but all that matters in this case is Meghan’s privacy. Okay. |

You yourself said ‘everyone deserves privacy no matter who they are or what you feel about them’ - and I agreed in principle and expanded on your comment by referring to her father who after all was the recipient of the letter. IMO your response is just the avoidance of responding with your own opinion to the content of the post. |

I’m just so happy that justice has been served and Meghan can move on from this nightmare.

Her father gave up his rights to privacy when he sold the letter. Whether he felt his hand had been forced by previous interviews, that is irrelevant. In this court case it is about Meghans privacy which was invaded by this article. If he were upset about previous interviews that was his time to take legal action. In this case his privacy is not in question as he chose to lay it out there.

Pleased for her.
As to her relationship with her father, it’s up to her and I certainly wouldn’t want him in my life. |

People just got to stop being fake and pretending they care about her father when they only do because of their toxic hate for Meghan.

Anyone who I've seen on here talk about her father is always just doing so in response to people saying how awful Meghan is to him

Well that's just it, theres no need for toxic abuse or hate at all, dislike for people in the public eye is fair enough and is understandable but pure hatred is just OTT

Tbh this is one of those issues where it's quite black and white and no matter how much some people may dislike Meghan, the correct verdict was handed out.
However I also agree with Jet that Meghan shouldn't have been showing off her Father's letter to People Magazine.
