Whatshisnuts is claiming that there categorically was no bodies in the river at the time of his search...

Probably protecting his own reputation, but it still smells really suspicion overall, if it does turn out to be her..

Yes but as far as is known, Bulley didn't walk around with her arms on display. I mean, what would the poor innocent chimney sweeps think?!

Well if it is Nicola...they will be able to establish if she has been in the water all this time or has been recently dumped there.
That 'expert' was a bit of a prat claiming he would know within an hour whether she was in the River or not....if she was he is just going to look like a real dick and his companies reputation will be in tatters..

Cannot see what difference it made that he wasnt told she was high risk
He was bought in to try and find her in the water...end of.

Blokes an idiot and seems to be looking for exposure off the back of a young woman that has tragically gone missing.

I can't imagine what the difference would be if you were looking for a person in the water with or without issues, I heard him interviewed the other day and he was banging on about the high level clearance he had so the police could have shared the information with his, it wouln't have gone any further blah blah, given he is on TV every other minute it's not difficult to see that they thought he might share the info.

Now he is giving legs to more conspiracy theories that she was not in the water at the time his team searched, that may be the case but it would be prudent to wait for the post mortem results before making this claim, have the family not suffered enough?

.
Tbh someone deliberately stepping into the water would leave the banks and "floor" etc in a different state to someone falling in.

He has just been interviewed with Nick on LBC, he would have widened the search and stayed longer if he had the info on vulnerabilities

If she was a known suicide risk, I'd imagine he'd check parts where it's easy to get into the water, but not be spotted before the "resuscitation window" has passed?

Agreed, he is coming across very badly

I'm seeing all these people online using photos of the river from Google maps to show how she couldn't have drifted to the point they found her because 'look how shallow the water is on this bend' etc. without realising that the river depth and current varies at different times and the photos were taken in summer

This case has been a bloody shambles from the off. For a start, the public should never be allowed to conducts its own investigation while the police investigation is ongoing. The place was trampled on by ghouls and so compromised the crime scene. Also, I believe the police would never have had to release details that Nicola was vulnerable if the hysterics in society would have shut t f up and let them get on with their job.

you can't stop people thinking nor wanting to actually help in an investigation nor questioning the police efforts during the investigation

We can as a society stop idolising people that are only in it to further their own interests, like the diving specialists or the tiktok sleuths.

The police got a lot wrong in this investigation, they could have communicated far better and that would have resolved most of the issues with amateur sleuths

I believe the whole investigation was compromised by social media. If Nicola was in my family I'd be mad as hell.

I find it rather odd that the whole narrative of this case is - stop speculating, looking for her general public let the police experts get on with finding her yada yada yada

Police - 3 weeks later - "She is an alky and menopausal" -why do we need to know this all of a sudden we ask? - silence

Just leave it to the experts/police - bloody armchair detectives

nigh on 4 weeks with a big fat zero from Lancs police

Dog walker goes for a Sunday walk within a mile from the bench "oh look there she is lying on some reeds near the river"

In many cases that includes murder it’s a member of the public that finds/ comes across the body, like my dad found that dead girl in the woods

The problem with you is, you have taken issue with the police

And like so many others trying to make out its a cover up.

Police will Know it is her

But are still not confirming it is her dead.

Taking this long
looks like a cover-up
of the way they dealt with this case

Exclamation

Fury at 'farcical' Lancashire Police as it emerges force replied to tweet showing
lead detective as a Lego figure with an EMOJI during search for missing Nicola
Bulley

Lancashire Police has come under fire for its 'farcical' response during the
search for Nicola Bulley - after it replied with an emoji to a tweet that
showed the probe's chief officer as a Lego figure.

Less than two days after Detective Superintendent Rebecca Smith criticised
social media for 'distracting the investigation', force staff admired the toy
lookalike of her in a Twitter post.

Sharing a picture of the figurine on Twitter, its creator wrote: 'I don't know
Detective Superintendent Rebecca Smith of Lancashire Police but I do know
she's doing everything in her power to find Nicola Bulley.

'DSU Smith makes a pretty formidable Lego Minifigure too, if I do say so
myself! Please give it a retweet so she sees it.'

One asked: 'Why don’t you focus on conducting yourselves with dignity and
integrity instead of engaging with tweets and liking pro Lancashire police
tweets.

'You’re turning this case into a farce, now you’re engaging with irrelevant tit
for tat online, publicly, it’s disgusting.'

Another opined: 'Utterly inappropriate response. Just mind numbingly

irrelevant.'

In a reply sure to raise further questions over police judgement, staff responded with a blue heart emoji and said: 'We'll make sure she sees this'.

100 % agree Livia, the armchair detectives etc have done nothing but stall this case.
