Actually I'm enjoying getting the different presentations of his life.

An incredible life too.

However one moan, is it just me or does this Archbishop of Canterbury really annoy in his delivery of his accounts of things and speaking.
I feel like I want to move him up a gear or two to get moving.

Ive found out so much about him this afternoon,what a varied life he had, but I agree we only need a couple of channels covering it,but never the less some interesting things about him I never knew.

Having watched The Crown, albeit fictional, it did give a good insight into their lives. Watching his life unfold today I think The Crown gave a pretty accurate account of his life and personality.

yes, there is some artistic freedom in the Crown, but the facts are written in stone in history and they stick very close to them on the majority of cases


On a side note, it's a bit of a relief the Philip hung on for a couple of weeks after the M&H interview, if he had died a couple of weeks ago people would be baying for blood

As per Kaz news media were always so quick to point out flaws but he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and he did many great things for the UK.

I think it took him a few years to adapt... I think Anne has many of his characteristics with her wit and sarcasm and I get the impression she was his favorite. She was made of sterner stuff...he wasnt one for weakness.
You really should watch The Crown...we only watched it this year and we really enjoyed it. As its been reported...he was a mans man and I think it was hard for him to play second fiddle to the Queen...he must have loved her and he made the role his own and as always we only really all learn all of what he did when he dies.

He's actually not portrayed that badly in the Crown a part from implying he might have have had affairs earlier on in the series which apparently has truth to it
