Who? The only people who could meaningfully "ignore that" would be the court system in which case they would convict, meaning, there was NOT not enough evidence to convict. A paradox.

"Not enough evidence to convict" has no bearing and need have no bearing at all on public opinion... courts don't get to dictate that, I'm afraid.
