They do.

Rehearsals have started in the past around the 1-2 week of May.
They don't or can't take you into hiding before the 20th of that month.

Sometimes they go right from rehearsals into hiding.

I always thought the housemates that entered the house were chosen at least two weeks before entering the house. Apparently they send 20 potential housemates into hiding then pick whoever they want as housemates.
Personally, if true, I think that is a complete waste of money, as they normally go abroad.
Why would C4 waste money sending potential housemates abroad to be kept secret, then not put them in the house?

Why are people complaing cos its a sunday? How many other things do you have on a sundya that are stopping you watching it?
