I noticed how many hidden little areas they have on the roofs now, lol, will make filming higher up a lot easier.

Eagle eyed viewers may have noticed a few changes in last nights episodes, it seems the sets for D&S Alahans, The Kabin and Streetcars were new!

Notice how the wall beside the cab office window has dramatically changed


and there's now toilets too!

So, this isn't really anything big - but there isn't a thread other than this one to put it in! I went to Manchester today with college to see A Midsummer Night's Dream and it was in the Lowry. This is basically right next to MediaCity and the brand new Coronation Street set. It wasn't viable that much (You could see the viaduct) and some other features, but here are a few pictures from today:









I was overly excited because this was my first time to this part of Manchester and it's where I want to work in the future

I love that whole area, its looks very modern.

Pretty much all of the interior sets you'll be seeing this week are new, you might have notice the Rovers interior looked a little different last night (and that they finally got a new bar)



and Dev's has somehow grown an office


The new exterior will be shown from next week.

The new office location makes no sense. It's a bit like the rovers toilets . The office is going into Kevin's house

I thought it all looked a bit different yesterday, Devs shop was the big giveaway.. didn't notice any differences outside though.

The new outside set will be shown from next week onward, most of the interiors this week are new though. Expect Underworld to look a lot different, since it will be filmed in the actual Underworld building. Generally, all the new sets will have a more realistic look to them, due to the studios being state of the art, and not old 60's studios upgraded over 50 years

The documentary was great, really gave a good insight as to how the show has evolved

I think they're mostly the same as the 2010 ones, with a few new shots added in

Looking back at some of the older sets, Viaduct Street looks tiny here, lol


I'm glad they burnt down those flats too

What's the new street? Isn't that just the fake backdrop like it was at the old set?

Nah, if you look closer, you can see doors and windows in the facade


I think its a good idea to have a street there instead of the mural, they could actually make use of it in the show then.

They're revamping the cobbles again ain't they? Problems with them due to H&S concerns apparently and according to the paper stars like Kym Marsh-Ryder-Lomas-Marsh-Mellor-Marsh (or whatever she calls herself next) and Michelle Keegan were worried about falling over.

Yeah, but to be fair on them, the new cobbles don't look as well done as the Granada ones. They're a bit less flat, its just a little correction they've had to make.
