If there's another referendum (and there would be strong calls for it with these numbers) I could see them winning it this time and with an impending EU referendum which'll be dictated by the press we could see us breaking the union and out of Europe within a few years
There will be riots again before the end of the next parliament, mark my words |

Sweepstake on Miliband's resignation: I say he resigns by 11am tomorrow. Clegg too if he doesn't win his seat, otherwise I think he'll hang on a bit longer

I don't want Ed to resign but I fear what Jon Sopel talked about earlier how there'll be Blairites calling for another leader of his ilk and God forbid they send the Labour party back to the centre right when we've just had the first leader in many years who has taken it back as near to its socialist roots as possible

Whole core of Lib Dems likely to be wiped out; Alexander gone, Davey gone, Hughes gone, Clegg and Cable possibly gone..
Lib Dems could be in need of a complete overhaul |

If Miliband has fought a more Blairite campaign he would have done better. Look at Labour's pledge card from 1997:
![]() Clear practical promises laid out and how they will all be implemented And then compare that this year with the Edstone: ![]() The vaguest pledges you could ever make put forth on a ridiculous gimmick. Miliband fought a better campaign than expected but not good enough |
