I believe I was? You just need to go back over my posts, this government came in with a manifesto pledge to smash the gangs, how is that going for you?

A group of worried mothers and fathers have organised this protest, after complaints from their children.

Pensions and benefits lumped together, yes it is there, can you tell me which costs more? State pension is not a benefit or at least it wasn't until governments tried to lump it in with benefits, anyone can claim benefits, you need to have worked for 35 years and paid in to get a full state pension, it is not a benefit, people have worked for it

Well I say anyone can claim benefits, I know numerous people who have been made redundant but couldn't claim anything until they had run through their redundancy

The state pension is an investment account that people pay into throughout their working lives, they then get that pot that they paid into back in a monthly payout when they retire. It's not a handout by government

And that is why it is so disingenous to lump it in with benefits
Next they will be telling us that Occupational Pensions are a benefit because we pay in to those too, as does the employer

State pension is only paid as a benefit if the recipient has never worked

These protests primarily are about the safety of women and young girls. Would anyone like to attach a "cost" to that?

These total the same as pensions, and most people on working age benefits will be in receipt of housing support, as previously stated pensions are paid for through your NI taken every month so they are not a benefit

The government love to tell you that pensioners are costing the earth when in fact they are just taking back pensions they paid into just like an occupational pension which is what successive governments have promised to do

NI doesn’t go into some magic pension piggy bank with your name on it. It pays current pensioners. Always has. When you retire, it’ll be the next lot paying yours.

And like it or not, pensions are classed as benefits in the spending breakdown. £175 billion is still public money going out.

Also, saying most on benefits get housing support doesn’t cancel anything out, that’s just even more being spent.

If the (attempted/) molesters were publicly named and shamed, and deported, I'd put money on the protests dwindling right down.

Why should they be enabled to take up time and money in our legal system when they should barely be here in the first place?
