Rather than nominate in front of the housemates, let them do it the normal way. Then when they've finished, show the whole thing on the plasma.

That way no one would feel intimidated into not voting whoever.

the punishment for keeley saying the same thing that jj(original) has said about Josie meant her noms did not count. If they had then JJ would have been up that week too

for dave talking about them it was him that was up and not allowed to nominate, saving a nomination for josie

I just think they try to be random, so many have been punished for breaking the rules over the years, that the punishment comes in all different ways.

Maybe you're right about this, they do things to suit how things are in the house at that time. It could be seen as manipulation i suppose.

If they do it in front of each other it also gives the ones with names later in the alphabet an advantage as they will know who has how many noms so can either just chose someone that is already up or safe

more recently when they have had face-to-face noms, they have had to write names down first so they can't change them by seeing who else has been nominated (or not)

but do agree that who they pick even that way, is not necessarily who they would pick in the DR
