I have noticed threads being closed for no reason...i have noticed it more lately .Sometimes the op makes a valid point but a mod will close it just in case someone else might post something that might be concieved as not pc.
How long before mods start closing threads because they don't agree with the op or even worse because they stick up for a housemate and don't like them being critisised??

ok i have not had any threads closed...but i have noticed one mod seems to be a little more cautious then the rest...mentioning no names

p.s. can you try and keep the posts civil as they do a good job for nothing.....its like being a goalkeeper....you never get thanked for doing a great job...but get earache when they mess up

It has happened somewhat, well alot when you consider last year and how much fun it was, or am I being just nostalgic? Or maybe last year was just a better series?

Anyway, yeah - it seems that the mods have been going mental with the yellow cards of late. Not all, but there's obviously some who are going nuts and maybe it's just a case of being more strict during BB season, who knows?! But still, it's a bit mad right now, especially when I hear about the infringements people are getting.

Some mods just aren't cut out for the job and are giving usless infractions that's my take on it.

Were as some mods are excellent.

Some admins needs to fix the site up more and respond to members.

Some admins need to get online more and hire new admins that are online.

I would never be so harsh as to compare the moderators to that awful shower at DS, but I have noticed infractions being handed out for no other reason than somebody told them to do it. I won't go any further into it.

Some of the reasons for getting infractions are so stupid seriously. If people keep getting banned like this it's gonna be even more dead than it already is. Three members last night got banned that actually use this forum a lot and post in the BB section. There's at least one person getting banned everyday now, and some of the things that were done weren't worth infractions which led to bans. It should go back to being how it used to be, when you could say your opinion without getting banned.

I was given 2 infraction points for avoiding the swear filter. And as soon as I messed up again I was banned Trigger happy mods that don't even contribute to the forum

I'll be 81years old in october!...I cant stand DS and have had about 5 infractions on this site for absolutely nothing over the last couple of months!
All from the same mod!!...But when you reach my age you start to mellow a little, and just think....Feck em'!!

The swear filter is a pain, but that's the fault of the absent admin who are developing something of an ivory tower mentality if I am being honest, not the mods.

I think as long as you're not swearing at someone it shouldn't really be punished, it's pointless. BB is not a kids show, so why is this a kids forum? lol
