I hear so many people say they only come 'alive' in the Summer or get 'depressed' in the Winter yet is it true?

Obviously I can only speak for myself but I was bloody miserable all summer when usually I'm happy. Usually I love long nights and sunny days but I hated it all. Now I crave the darkness falling when I can switch on the lamps and curl up.

One thing I do love about England is we do get the perfect mix but it seems like we spend our lives hoping for the next season :/ When it's summer we want cool, when it's winter we want warm....

Id say i am opposite, I hate when its all Sunny and hot and you feel like you have to make the most of it and do something, Im much happier to be cold so i have an excuse to stay in bed warm with a nice cup of tea.

I love it around this time of year most when it starts getting cold and dark earlier.

I feel happy the sun is out. I feel just mmmm~~ happy.
And if the sun is very strong and hot in summer I feel like I am on holiday abroad.

(last time it happened I said to my husband I felt I was on holiday then he said he felt he was in hell.)

I guess so. Like everyone else, I am usually more happy when the sun is out than when its drizzling outside but I thunderstorms too. And snow makes me extremely happy.

I like the winter waaay better than the summer. In the summer it's all hot and ugh. I do think though, most people are happier then. Winter's all cold and snowy And I love it when you have open fires, heating on and that.

I prefer the winter too, especially December when I can put the christmas tree lights on and have the heating on full then sit watching the tv all cosy, its even better if its snowing and theres people walking past outside I think to myself "HAHA they must be frozen and im all warm and cosy" LMAO

Yes,I hate the cold and the dark. I'm generally happy all year round but I'm much happier and much less likely to complain about how miserable everything is in the summer.
