CORRIE actress Jane Danson was moved to tears after discovering her character Leanne Barlow loses her longed-for baby.

Leanne is delighted to finally become pregnant by bookie husband Peter following his battles with booze.

But after a furious row with Peter – played by Chris Gascoyne – she falls down the stairs and miscarries.

Jane, 32, told pals: “It’s incredibly sad.”

The shock scenes will be filmed next week and screened next month
