Russell Hilliard (@RussHilliard), who works for ITV on graphics tweeted this recently

New titles for X Factor once the live shows begin (similar to what they did series 3 - old titles for auditions, boot camp and judges houses, then launch the new titles on the first live show). Same titles as the US version.

I think they are using our theme tune with the American graphics, which is probably why they added 'USA' to the logo in the American titles on the second episode.

Graphic's wise, it's far better than ours.
Honestly - they are amazing.

But the music just lacks the WOW Factor and the Atmosphere that ours has.

I heard we are getting new titles this year anyway, is that true?

Because New York is far more well known in a sense and the design looks better there and it symbolizes that this is an American version of the show.

I think it's fantastic, wouldn't look as good if it were in LA.

Also the fact it starts of at Saturn is great. My second favourite planet.

Yes but the actual skyline and stuff of New York is far better and fits in better from a Design Point of View.

I can just imagine the X flying in over the London skyline in the same style. It will look amazing.

Hopefully they've changed the set so it goes with the titles and the whole next generation theme as well.

Well the audition sets were similar, except yours were on a much bigger scale lol. So I can see the live sets being the same and if not very similar.
