Blue star Duncan James has been declared bankrupt.

The singer's real name Duncan Inglis was used in a bankruptcy order made at the High Court on September 12 and published in the London Gazette.

The news comes as Blue prepare for their UK comeback tour, which starts next month following their stint on ITV2's The Big Reunion.

The group originally split in 2005 before reforming in 2009, but their company Blueworld went into administration in May this year, owing thousands of pounds to creditors.

A spokeswoman said at the time: "Blue have been open about their recent financial struggles and are restructuring their business model."

Bandmate Antony Costa has previously spoken out about his own financial troubles following the band's initial split.

"Any money I did have left at the end of Blue I wasn't advised on how to save it... [but] we have got a good team around us today who help me and the boys out with financial advice," he explained.

James is yet to comment on the reports.
