The entire supporting cast of Dexter haven't been relevant for about 6 seasons, i.e. Quinn, Batista, LaGuerta, Masuka, Matthews, The Babysitter... basically everyone except Dexter, Deb and the 'Special Guest Stars'. If only Doakes had stayed for the duration...
Also, even though they're not pointless, the entire cast of The Walking Dead is just awful. Good enough show plot wise, but they could replace the entire cast right now and I would welcome it. And I hate to criticize it in any way, it being the greatest show of all time and all, but I'm pretty sure Breaking Bad would have made it to the end unscathed without having to introduce Lydia, and maybe even Todd...

I felt that Nigel Barker was an irrelevant judge some of the time in ANTM, he lacked personality especially when Janice and Miss Jay were on the panel. He isn't exactly pointless but he is very overhyped and nobody would have known about him had he not have been an antm judge.

As awful as she was, she was the connecting character between all of them really.
Uh... Bulldog in Frasier. Annoying as **** and not really important. Says a lot when a character who never appears on camera (Maris) has more memorable moments than you. Chris in Family Guy. I dare you to name one plotline of his you enjoyed.
